Mutianyu Great Wall

September 19, 2017

Clancy has a friend visiting so we went to a different section of the Great Wall today.  Mutianyu is about 70 kilometres north east of Beijing and is one of the best preserved parts of the wall.  We caught the open chair lift up which was pretty exhilarating and spent a few hours walking and climbing stairs once at the top.  The views were amazing and once again we were blessed with lovely clear blue skies.

The adventure didn't end there though....

On the way down the mountain we went via toboggan.  As I sped to the bottom of this huge mountain I was greeted by the kids nearly rolling on the ground laughing.  They joked that they had been waiting for me for half an hour.  It must have just been my heart that was racing not the actual toboggan.
